CASE STUDY – CONSTRUCTION
Poppet Construction is a new generation of construction company with a no-nonsense approach, and following a lengthy career working for large contractors, founder Paul Goadby decided to set up his own business. Through his years of experience, Paul had a strong belief that there was a much better way of working in one of the most challenging and difficult industry sectors, and so he started to lay out his future vision.
To effectively develop his business proposition, Paul initially worked with our sister agency brand elect (be.) to build his brand, which was based on a number of core principles and people values – some of which formed Poppet’s USPs.

Following a strategy mapping session with Paul, we were able to clarify his business objectives, and build out the business’ long-term brand distinction.
This valuable intelligence enabled us to develop a clear marketing strategy to aid Poppet Construction’s business journey, which initially started with a compelling social media campaign.
Together with the social media campaign, photography, and the development of an engaging new website, we utilised a marketing mix of digital and traditional media for Poppet to gain awareness of their new business, with a core focus on promoting the brand’s ‘people first’ ethos.

Poppet’s POWERFUL business proposition in a complex and challenging industry has been received incredibly well by partners and clients alike, particularly the future ambition that Paul has to CARE and develop Poppet Academy; an authoritative platform which is PROUD to provide apprenticeships and training workshops for internal employees, as well as for other construction businesses to benefit from – which ultimately will help to fill the skills gap in construction.
